- ​Judy manages a team of eight compliance specialists that provide regulatory and personnel oversight to clients in fourteen states.
- with 20 plus years in the lab business, covering all aspects of the Lab compliance.
- ​Graduate of Lenoir Rhyne College, Hickory, NC with a BS in Microbiology and completed the Medical Technology program at Presbyterian (Novant) Hospital, Charlotte, NC.
- 41 years of experience in the clinical laboratory field with a specializing in the technical aspect of the laboratory and with a interest in instrumentation and compliance.
- 29 of those years have been in a supervisory or managerial capacity.​
- Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Biology from UNC Pembroke, and a Master of Science in Public Health Administration from UNC Chapel Hill.

Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments
As a leading physician-directed accrediting organization and the first to obtain federal approval under CLIA, they accredit laboratories of all types, sizes and complexities. For over thirty years, they have refined their unique educationally-focused accreditation experience. Promoting health and safety is their mission. Guiding professionals to achieve their vision for laboratory excellence is their passion.
The CAP accredits laboratories performing testing on specimens from human beings or animals, using methodologies and clinical application within the expertise of the program. Laboratories must be appropriately licensed to perform testing when required by law.
The Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) regulate laboratory testing and require clinical laboratories to be certified by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) before they can accept human samples for diagnostic testing.
